“Menstrual hygiene day” 28th May, 2018

Today Shashwat Jigyasa organisation and BMCT lko jointly organised a seminar in Radha Kamal Mukerjee Hall Lucknow University Lucknow to mark the World Menstrual Hygiene Day, 28th of May 2018.

The chief guest was Mrs. Samyukta Bhatia, Hon'ble Mayor Lucknow City, India. She inaugurated first Pad Bank and assured to establish pad bank in all of 45 proposed Pink Toilets.

Other distinguished guests were Dr. Shilpi, Dr. Alpana Rastogi, Educationist Anshu Kedia, founders of both organisers Sitanshu Kumar & Rama Tiwari.

Students of university, special educators, media persons, children and other social activists were also participated in the seminar. A free eye check up camp was also organised by VAGA super speciality hospital.

Sitanshu Kumar the founder of Shashwat Jigyasa is determined to continue the campaign for specially abled girls. The Volenteers of the organisation will go to the every special school to educate the mentally challenged girls about menstrual hygiene and the uses and benefits of using sanitary padsb. A free sanitary pick up point ie Pad Bank will be established in all such schools, he told.
